Ep.21: You Have Enough Customers!
Most people assume that an increase in customer numbers (a nicer way of saying foot traffic) automatically leads to better results. But what if, instead of dreaming about more customers walking through the door (online included), we focused on honing our skills and giving our full potential to the customers we already have? What might that look like? What could a 10% increase in conversion mean to our business? What if missing target by a few % was due to a lack of skill, not traffic?
Consider Tiger Woods, David Beckham, and Pilots - what do they all have in common?
They all understand the importance of diligent, repetitive practice so the process is by default whilst they are “in play”. We are “in play” when we are interacting with our customers - and that is NOT the time to be practicing.
The last thing I want is a pilot practicing a crash landing while I’m a passenger! Pilots train continuously in simulators for every possible scenario. If we also want to be masters of our game, we too need structured, consistent practice to be fully present and handle any type of situation confidently and effectively. We practice so we can be top performers in the play.
This episode is all about making the most of what we have—using our C.A.R.E™ skills, building effective habits, and setting our team up for success, one Practice Session at a time!
